Native / Exotic Interpretations
This week's Two Things Challenge was Native / Exotic. I think it was a bit of a mind-stretcher, which is always a good thing! Thank you, Lisa, for suggesting this week's challenge.
This week's participants were: D.C. Confidential, Diane Clancy, Sue Elkin, On Another Planet, Holy Carpet, The Artful Eye, and Lisa Sarsfield (here and here.) If I missed anyone, holler and I'll post your contribution!
If you'd like to suggest two things to challenge all of us, the Suggestion Box remains open!

Native / Exotic
This week's challenge is Native / Exotic and was suggested by Lisa Sarsfield. No matter where we live in the world, there are things and people who are native and exotic to our environment. This week's challenge should present a great opportunity to identify what is indigenous to our surroundings and what is not.

Dead / Alive Interpretations
This week's 2 Things Challenge was Dead / Alive. Everyone did a really great job with this challenge and the fun parts in the results are how the colors compliment each other so nicely and how the progression of life and death is portrayed. Well done everyone! I especially want to make note of Gara Gillentine's contributions from Mississippi. More than two years after Hurricane Katrina, the Gulf Coast region is still fighting to live and I think Gara's photos stunningly show us that.
This week's contributors are: Lisa Sarsfield, On Another Planet, The Way I See It, Dusty Lens, D.C. Confidential, North Mississippi Artist, and Diane Clancy (here and here). Thanks to everyone who participated again this week!
Note: The suggestion box is still open. Artful Eye and Lisa Sarsfield have provided some great ideas for future themes. If you'd like to contribute ideas, please feel free!
Update: Apparently, Diane Clancy had so much fun with this challenge, she did more than the two I featured. Here is a link to her other interpretation. Sorry about that, Diane! My apologies for the oversight.

Suggestion Box. Or, Help / Wanted
I thought I'd open the floor to everyone for suggestions. We have so many talented folks who participate in the 2 Things Challenge every week, I thought it would be fun to see what you would suggest we could find and photograph or create.
So here's the deal: suggest two things--all nouns, verbs, adverbs, and adjectives welcome--by leaving a comment. I'll put them together in a list and pull from them in the weeks ahead. What do you think? Are you game?
Help / Wanted, folks!
P.S. To see this week's actual theme--Dead / Alive, click here.

Dead / Alive
This week's theme was inspired by watching a few minutes of a Jimmy Stewart film the other night (the title of which escapes me at the moment.) Stewart starred in many Westerns, as well as a few of Alfred Hitchcock's psychological thrillers, so this week's theme is Dead / Alive.

Good job everyone and thanks again for participating!

Sun / Shadow
This week's Two Things Challenge is Sun / Shadow. The days are lengthening for some of us, while getting shorter for others. Show us the sun and shadow where you live.

Blue / Red / Purple Interpretations
This week's challenge was a bit tougher than I thought it would be, but as usual everyone rose to the challenge and produced some excellent interpretations. This week's contributors are: Great Grannie (who doesn't know she contributed, but who did a mandala a week or so ago that was perfect for the theme, so I decided to include it!), Bev at Psychedelia (who put together a slideshow instead of just one photo. Be sure to visit her site and have a look!), Diane Clancy, Art Eyeful at The Way I See It, Lisa Sarsfield, Dusty Lens, and D.C. Confidential.
Thanks again to everyone who participated!

Blue / Red / Purple
In honor of the presidential primaries coming up on Tuesday in Texas--home state of Debi Cates and her mom, Bobbie, the originators of this blog--this week's Two Things Challenge is Blue / Red / Purple. You don't have to live in America to participate in this one. Did you know the two most common colors in flags the world over are red and blue? So, it isn't just an American, political divide thing. Show us what's blue, red, or purple where you live!

Old / New Interpretations
This week's challenge was Old / New. Nine photographers and artists participated this week and produced 20 separate images interpreting things old and things new. Excellent job everyone! Here are links to this week's contributors: Gara at North Mississippi Artist, Bev at Psychedelia, Lisa Sarsfield, Debi Cates, The Artful Eye, Diane Clancy, Bev at Holy Carpet (here and here), Janet at D.C. Confidential, and Dusty Lens.
Also, last week, I missed Artful Eye's contribution to Box / Car. Here it is for your enjoyment.
