Unexpected/Order Interpretations

Well I'm late posting the collage and results from Unexpected/Order, mainly because we had a new grandchild born Saturday night and I've been a little tied up.  Mother, father, and daughter are all fine and back home now.  Big brother hasn't quite figured this out yet, but he is definitely excited.

Only Miss Mouse and I (Eeyore) had entries this time, but at least she had enough photos I could make a decent collage.  Thanks Miss Mouse, or it would've been a new solitaire game.  If I missed someone's, let me know.

Because of the holidays and everyone's busy schedule, I have decided to put off further challenges until after the first of the year.   Like I said last week, that challenge will be Coffee/Tea, and I'm going to make it due on January 9, 2011.  I will post the challenge the week before to remind everyone.

Step/Floor Interpretations

We had only three entries but nine photos for this week's challenge.  Thanks to the ones who entered, and if I missed anyone, leave me a comment here.  Our entries came from Diane, Larry, and Miss Mouse.

Warning/Authority Interpretations

This week's challenge has turned out to be a challenge for me as well as some of the others, not necessarily to create an interpretation, but just to get it done in time.  I'm already three days late on posting the interpretations, so I'm going to give an extra week on the next challenge.

Our interpretations this week came from Rob, ShEiLa, Larry, and Miss Mouse.  Thanks to all for your wonderful ideas and interpretations.  If I missed anyone, leave me another comment here.

If you do too, leave them a comment a let them know. Our interpretations came from Diane, Jack, and Larry. If I missed yours, leave a comment and I'll add it in. Savory / Sweet Interpretations

Our challenge for the last couple of weeks was Savory / Sweet. I expected some shots of everyone's backyard barbeque grill, or the results therefrom, but unless Maya has one very nice rotisserie in her backyard, we got none. Most of the results leaned toward the dessert, with one toward music. Good job folks, and thanks.

Our interpretations came from Maya (here and here), Alexa, Rob, and Larry. If I missed anyone, leave me a comment here and I'll get it posted.

Organic / Chaos Interpretations

Organic/Chaos was the challenge for the last two weeks, two weeks instead of one because of a little organic chaos in my own mind the week before. We welcome ShEiLa back after a little hiatus, and a warm welcome to first time contributor Jeremy. We also had interpretations for some of our reliable contributors, Diane, Rob, and yours truly, Larry. If I missed anyone, leave a comment on this post and we'll add yours in. Thanks to all of you.

Weekly Challenge: Organic / Chaos - Another Week

I was about to post the results for Organic/Chaos (actually I had already put it up) when I noticed that I had accidentally ended that challenge on June 6 instead of May 30 (see below). So I deleted it. I do not remember thinking that since it is a holiday weekend I would allow another week, but hey, I did it by mistake.

So, all of you who did not get in an interpretation by yesterday, you've got a reprieve until next week, and both of those who did, thanks. I'll save them until next week.

Brilliant / Hidden Interpretations

Our challenge this week was Hidden/Brilliant, and I think we had some brilliant interpretations on this theme. To be honest, my first thoughts were of a sunset, and I sort of expected 6 or 7 sunsets, but of the 8 interpretations, mine was the only sunset. Very pleasantly surprised, I was. Our interpretations were from Alexa, Rob, Debi, Larry, Cathy, Forest, Diane, and a hilarious interpretation by Vivian.

And as a teaser, the next challenge will be: Obstacle / Illusion.

Home / Town Interpretations

Home / Town was our challenge this week, and again we only had three participants, albeit some difference from last week. Our interpretations this week came from Vivian, Diane, and two from Larry, here and here. Thanks Vivian and Diane, and if I missed someone, shoot me a comment.

Busy week? It must have been for several folks, after all, the challenge was due on Easter. But three hardy souls have interpretations this week, and each is a different take on the challenge. Ours are from Diane, Maya, and Larry. If I missed you, let me know, and thanks to all, not just the entrants, but the readers.

Private / Public Interpretations

Private/Public was the challenge this week and we had some really nice interpretations. Most involved people, engaged in relatively private activities in public places, one involved property, and one bubbles. Our interpretations came from Polly, Janet, Maya, Vivian, and me, Larry. If I missed yours, let me know and up it will go. Thanks all.
Oops! I included her painting, but forgot to include Diane in the list of contributors.

Clear / Vague Interpretations

We had another good response this week with 6 entries, and a challenge within a challenge from Rob. Our entries were from Rob, Larry, Janet, ShEiLa, Diane, and someone I haven't had the pleasure to deal with, Polly. As always, if I missed anyone, please let me know, even if I missed you because you forgot to set your clock forward and overslept this morning and just didn't get yours posted in time. I'll work it in.

Ugly / Pretty Interpretations

We had another great response to our challenge this week. A couple of themes emerged, dealing with beauty is in the eye of the beholder, or at least the camera, grafitti in the midst of beauty, and beauty going downhill. Thanks to all of you. Our entries are from Lex (welcome back again), Larry, Virginia, ShEiLa, Janet, Debi, Maya, Tash, and Vivian.

I think I got them all, but if I missed yours, let me know.

Prize / Door Interpretations

We had a wide variety of doors in response to our challenge this week, each with their own special prize attached. Well done. The responses were from Vivian, ShEiLa, Rob, Larry, Tash, Diane, and Janet, in no particular order. Virginia had a great prize door on her Paris site and I talked her into letting me enter it also. Check them all out, and be sure to note Vivian's poem about her favorite door.

If I missed anyone, let me know, and thanks for participating.

Safe / Passage Interpretations

We had a great response this week to our challenge. There were interpretations of Safe/Passage over the water, through the water, down the highway, through the air over water between cliffs, through the air from plane to ground, down a hallway and into the next life, and over ice both in vehicles and on foot. Great job! We have an interpretation from a newcomer Lex. Welcome Lex. Others include Vivian, Shutterbug, Rob, Diane, Larry, Janet, and Maya. We also had an entry from ShEiLa, but something happened to her blog over the weekend and I could not get to it to copy her entry into the collage above. Hers is the blank spot in the middle, and maybe I can add it when her blog gets fixed. In the meantime, I have included the link to her entry, and hopefully it will work and not say for invited readers only if you click on it (once her blog is fixed).

Thanks everyone. If I missed anyone, leave us a comment and we'll add you in.
ShEiLa got her new blog up and here is the link to her Safe/Passage entry.

Native / Exotic Interpretations

The challenge for this week was Native / Exotic. We had four diverse entries from Diane, Larry, Rob, and ShEiLa. Last week I posted the links to their blogs in general instead of to these entries. I decided that was okay for a week, but some of these people post a lot, and if you are searching for a particular entry more than a week later, it could require multiple paging to find it. Therefore, I'm reverting to posting links directly to the entry posts, but I would still encourage you to scroll through their other interesting posts.
Thanks to all who entered, and if you were missed or late, just leave a comment and I'll get yours up too.
I just located Vivian's post, so go check it out too.
