Solid / Pattern

This week's Two Things Challenge is Solid / Pattern.

This challenge ends on 19:00 UTC Sunday October 5, 2008.

That is Sunday noon EST, 11 am CST, 9 am PST, 7 pm in the UK, and Monday 8 am in New Zealand. And lest this sound strict, you know we would be pleased at any time to have your entry. We really aren't rule-oriented.

Remember, anyone can join! Just post your entries--as few or as many as you'd like--on your blog and leave us a comment here. All media are welcome--paintings, photography, collages, drawings, sculpture, poetry, whatever you'd like.

And, as a teaser for the week following, the challenge will be: East / West.

Blue / Green Interpretations

This week's challenge was Blue / Green. Everyone found some really beautiful representations for these two colors. Our contributors are: Virginia, Lisa, Bev, Debi, Diane, Janet, Tash (here and here), and Maya (here and here.)

Great job everyone!

If I missed anyone, please leave a comment here so I can add a link to your interpretation.

Last week's challenge was Old / Fashion. Several folks participated and, as is the norm in these parts, turned out excellent interpretations! This is the second time Old has featured as one of the two choices--a fact I overlooked when I chose this challenge. Still, everyone came through with flying colors!

Thanks to everyone who participated! If I missed anyone, leave a comment and I'll post a link to your interpretation.

Music / Note Interpretations

This week's Two Things Challenge was Music / Note. All of the contributions to this challenge are excellent and very creative. And, I think for the first time in 2TC history, someone wrote a poem for this week's challenge. That honor goes to Bev and here are her lovely words:

Harmony of the Spheres

Music is emotion
It strikes the deepest chord
The passions of Puccini
The march that provokes the sword
The tender love in lullaby
What has this to do with rote
Mysteriously at its essence
Mathematical patterns of the note

This week's interpreters are: Janet, Bev, Lisa, Diane, Rob, Maya, and our newest contributor Eeyore's Ramblin's. Thanks to everyone who participated again this week. It's always so much fun to see each person's take on two words.

If I missed anyone's interpretation, please leave a comment and I'll add a link here to your interpretation!
