Native / Exotic Interpretations

The challenge for this week was Native / Exotic. We had four diverse entries from Diane, Larry, Rob, and ShEiLa. Last week I posted the links to their blogs in general instead of to these entries. I decided that was okay for a week, but some of these people post a lot, and if you are searching for a particular entry more than a week later, it could require multiple paging to find it. Therefore, I'm reverting to posting links directly to the entry posts, but I would still encourage you to scroll through their other interesting posts.

Weekly Challenge: Native / Exotic

This week's challenge is Native / Exotic. I apopogize to the old timers here, but I just discovered that this challenge was used almost two years ago. Since everyone was warned last week this would be the challenge, I'm going to stick with it, however. I think it was tough in 2008, and it may be again. Good luck with it.

This challenge will end at 12:00 Noon CST, on February 7, 2010, first Sunday of the month.

Remember, anyone can join! Just post your entries--as few or as many as you'd like--on your blog and leave us a comment here. All media are welcome--paintings, photography, collages, drawings, sculpture, poetry, whatever you'd like.

And as a teaser, the challenge for the following week will be: Safe / Passage.

Native / Exotic Interpretations

This week's Two Things Challenge was Native / Exotic. I think it was a bit of a mind-stretcher, which is always a good thing! Thank you, Lisa, for suggesting this week's challenge.

Native / Exotic

This week's challenge is Native / Exotic and was suggested by Lisa Sarsfield. No matter where we live in the world, there are things and people who are native and exotic to our environment. This week's challenge should present a great opportunity to identify what is indigenous to our surroundings and what is not.

This challenge ends on 19:00 UTC Sunday March 30, 2008.

That is Sunday noon EST, 1pm CST, 7 pm in the UK, and Monday 8 am in New Zealand. And lest this sound strict, you know we would be pleased at any time to have your entry. We really aren't rule-oriented.
