Weekly Challenge: Ugly / Pretty

The challenge for this week is Ugly / Pretty.

This challenge will end at 12:00 Noon CST, on Sunday, February 28, 2010. I will be out of town at that time, so it will probably be Tuesday before I can actually get the composite and the Interpretations post put together, so if you're a little late, you'll probably get in.

Remember, anyone can join! Just post your entries--as few or as many as you'd like--on your blog and leave us a comment here. All media are welcome--paintings, photography, collages, drawings, sculpture, poetry, whatever you'd like.

And as a teaser, the challenge for the following week will be: Animal / Vegetable. Remember, I'll be a little late with the posting next week, so don't wait till the post goes up to start getting your entries ready.

Prize / Door Interpretations

We had a wide variety of doors in response to our challenge this week, each with their own special prize attached. Well done. The responses were from Vivian, ShEiLa, Rob, Larry, Tash, Diane, and Janet, in no particular order. Virginia had a great prize door on her Paris site and I talked her into letting me enter it also. Check them all out, and be sure to note Vivian's poem about her favorite door.

If I missed anyone, let me know, and thanks for participating.

Safe / Passage Interpretations

We had a great response this week to our challenge. There were interpretations of Safe/Passage over the water, through the water, down the highway, through the air over water between cliffs, through the air from plane to ground, down a hallway and into the next life, and over ice both in vehicles and on foot. Great job! We have an interpretation from a newcomer Lex. Welcome Lex. Others include Vivian, Shutterbug, Rob, Diane, Larry, Janet, and Maya. We also had an entry from ShEiLa, but something happened to her blog over the weekend and I could not get to it to copy her entry into the collage above. Hers is the blank spot in the middle, and maybe I can add it when her blog gets fixed. In the meantime, I have included the link to her entry, and hopefully it will work and not say for invited readers only if you click on it (once her blog is fixed).

Thanks everyone. If I missed anyone, leave us a comment and we'll add you in.
ShEiLa got her new blog up and here is the link to her Safe/Passage entry.

Native / Exotic Interpretations

The challenge for this week was Native / Exotic. We had four diverse entries from Diane, Larry, Rob, and ShEiLa. Last week I posted the links to their blogs in general instead of to these entries. I decided that was okay for a week, but some of these people post a lot, and if you are searching for a particular entry more than a week later, it could require multiple paging to find it. Therefore, I'm reverting to posting links directly to the entry posts, but I would still encourage you to scroll through their other interesting posts.
Thanks to all who entered, and if you were missed or late, just leave a comment and I'll get yours up too.
I just located Vivian's post, so go check it out too.
